The Cisco ASR1002 Chassis is a two rack unit router that comes with four Gigabit Ethernet ports already built in, making it a no-brainer when trying to figure out which modules to use. The router uses integrated serial interface and route processors which allow you to implement deep packet inspection, security protocols and firewalls without getting mired in reconfiguration menus or requiring extra hardware. Special features include, VPN support, MPLS support, IPv6 support, Stateful switchover (SSO) and MPLS VPN.
