The Cisco Catalyst 4500E Series Supervisor can provide up to 848 Gbps of total switching capacity which translates to 48 Gbps per slot and routing performance statistics of 250 Mbps with IPv4 and 125 Mbps using IPv6, when combined with any Cisco Catalyst 4500 E-Series chassis. It is space efficient as it only occupies a single expansion slot in your Cisco 4500 Series cabinet. Th WS-X45-SUP7-E has a 1.5 GHz processor and 4 GB SDRAM capacity and four unpopulated SFP expansion slots that can directly connect it to any device you want it to talk to at high speeds. This device can keep track of 128000 security service entries, along with 4096 VLANs and 4096 Switched Virtual Interfaces, and can track 70000 IPv4 multicast entries, or 64000 using IPv6, in addition to providing 16000 shared entries between the two methods. It includes several features that will ensure your network stays quick and well-organized.
