The Cisco Catalyst 6500 Switch Module is a plug-in module that will increase the range and bandwidth of your network infrastructure. This device has 16 ports with each port providing 1GB transmission rates which ables you to provide gigabit Ethernet continuity within your wiring closet to a variety of locations. This switch is ideal for large locations as it can provide network stability with a radius of nearly one-third of a mile from the Cisco 6516 switch module. The WS-X6516-GBIC can be combined with other modules within the Catalyst 6500 series switch as an addition to your network infrastructure while providing full duplex capabilities for further network stability.
